- A TOOL TO MAKE REBOOTING IN SAFE MODE A SNAP

Sometimes, after the intall or uninstall of an application, or the attack of a virus, a malware or spyware [59, 74, 79, 84, 92, 95], your system may become instable or hangs altogether. You then need to troubleshoot That is when you may need Safe-mode rebooting..

- Safe Mode Rebooting Definition

Safe Mode is a trouble-shooting mode in all versions Windows operating system except Windows 3.1 and Windows NT.

When the computer is started in safe mode, only the most necessary components of the system are loaded. The purpose of the Safe-Mode is to start the operating system only with a minimal set of components loaded. Thus spyware, adware, virus or malfunctioning component you are trying to remove will in 99% of the cases not be loaded in Safe Mode and therefore much easier to delete of fix.

- Microsoft Procedure To Starting In Safe Mode Using F8

Close all programs.

  1. Close all programs.
  2. Shut down Windows from the Start Button.
  3. Turn off the Power
  4. Turn on the power.
  5. During the start-up of your computer you should tap F8, Usually quite early in the start-up process. It is often a successful technique to keep the F8 button pressed during the start up process, to be presented after a while with a menu that allow you to start in safe mode,
  6. When Windows has started in safe mode, you will notice this by a low resolution, few colours on the screen and no network capabilities.

- An Alternative That Makes The Process A Snap

Sometimes pressing F8 (point 4 above) would not make the system booting in safe mode. One has to retry the whole process again from point 1 and so on.

To avoid the waste of time and stress (one trying to troubleshoot and make the system operational again), there is a small sized utility called BootSafe, available for free download at following link: http://www.superadblocker.com/bootsafe.html that makes the booting process into safe-mode a snap.

Visit the link and never be stressed again trying to boot into safe mode
