HOW TO MINIMIZE OR STOP THE OCCURRENCE OF PINK SCREEN
Have you ever experienced Pink Screen? Yes Pink Screen.
It is not a joke. Have you ever got your Monitor'
screen turned suddenly pink? I have. With a CRT
17- inch new brand monitor only two years old! (Under
windows 98), which, one day, suddenly turned pinkish
in the middle of a surfing session. Then the occurrence
became more and more frequent to lasting 8 to 12 hours.
Believe me, the pink color of the screen makes it
uncomfortable to work properly! Everything blurred on
the screen.
So I did web research (monitor pink screen) using GuruNet
to finding out that thousand of folk reported the phenomenon
in discussions' forums. They have been jokingly branded
lunatic or boozer by some participants to said forums.
But it is not a joke and not funny at all! Pink screen
does spoil your working time.
Hopefully, there are people who took the matter seriously
and made suggestions [a

to solving it. However, these suggestions and tips might
not be the ones to help you get rid of the annoyance.
The problem remains a mystery for the moment.
Is it coming from the Monitor itself (loose Power cord)
or from the Graphics card? Or from a magnetic field
(Speakers) near the Monitor?
The numerous links available give no final indication
to which device to blame.
In addition to the remarkable instructions available
in many webpages and support forums to solving the problem,

Windows 98):
1-
Click on START and choose CONTROL PANEL.
2- Choose and click DISPLAY.
3- Choose SETTINGS on the Display's
Interface and then ADVANCED.
4- On the Advance's Interface choose COLOR
MANAGEMENT's tab.
5- On the Color Management's Interface click
on ADD. You will see a listing of Color
Profiles.
6- Choose the one most appropriate with the
trade mark of your Monitor and or Graphics Card.
You may choose several Color Profile and make
one the Default setting. |
Once you perform the configuration' steps above outlined
the pink screen occurrence may become less frequent.
Once a while instead of daily! And when it does occur,
it lasts only few minutes instead of hours.
